Ketika Mikha tahu bahwa orang muda suku Lewi ini sedang mencari tempat tinggal, Mikha memintanya untuk tinggal bersamanya menjadi bapa dan imam dengan janji akan memberikan makanan, pakaian, dan gaji 10 uang perak setiap tahun (ayat 10).
Orang Lewi itu setuju dengan tawaran ini, maka tinggallah dia di rumah Mikha seperti anaknya sendiri. Lalu Mikha mentahbiskan orang Lewi itu menjadi imamnya (ayat 11-12). Berarti Mikha sudah mentahbiskan dua orang sebagai imam: pertama-tama anaknya sendiri (ayat 5) dan sekarang ditambah orang muda Lewi itu. Mikha tidak punya otoritas untuk mentahbiskan imam, tapi dia melakukannya juga karena itu yang diinginkannya dan ia merasa tidak ada yang salah dari tindakannya.
Setelah memiliki orang Lewi sebagai imam di rumahnya, Mikha berkata: “Sekarang tahulah aku, bahwa TUHAN akan berbuat baik kepadaku, karena ada seorang Lewi menjadi imamku.” (ayat 13). Mikha menyimpulkan dan meyakini bahwa semua rangkaian peristiwa itu: mencuri uang ibunya, membuat patung, menahbiskan anaknya sebagai imam, dan akhirnya bisa mentahbiskan orang Lewi–yang memang dikhususkan untuk melayani ibadah–sebagai tanda penyertaan dan perkenanan TUHAN.
Ini contoh orang yang sesat, yang keblinger karena berasumsi dan meyakini bahwa pikiran/perbuatannya berasal dari TUHAN dan semua peristiwa “kebetulan” merupakan indikasi perkenanan/persetujuan/berkat TUHAN. Tanpa peduli bahwa apa yang dilakukan itu berbeda bahkan melanggar hukum TUHAN dan kebenaran firman TUHAN. Itu bukan perkenanan TUHAN; itu adalah penyesatan Iblis dan dia sudah termakan oleh siasat Iblis.
